EARTHDAY.ORG Research Shows Plastics Could Be Harming Pets -- Here's What You Can Do to Protect Your Beloved Animal

In July 2024, EARTHDAY.ORG released a report titled Pets Vs. Plastics, describing the harm exposure to microplastics and toxic plastic chemicals may be doing to our pets. Given that our furry friends enjoy chewing on plastic boys and inhaling dust particles, they are consuming plastics. According to the report, “these microplastics, microfibers and their additive chemicals have already been associated with a variety of health issues, from embryo development in dogs, 54 to potential infertility, 55 liver failure, and miscarriage issues in our pets.” EARTHDAY.ORG also determined that the impact plastic may have on our pets should be further researched.

The USA Gymnastics Team's Therapy Dog, Beacon, Has Major Health Scare

The gorgeous golden retriever named Beacon was a beacon of light (excuse the pun) for gymnasts who competed in the Olympic trials the week of June 30 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  ESPN reported that the 4-year-old certified therapy dog, who is known as  USA Gymnastics' "Goodest Boy,” did his very best to calm some stressed-out athletes during the trials to see if they would compete at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. 

Unfortunately, the very good boy has not been of the best help as of late.
