Can I Give My Dog Carrots?
During the winter season, my dinner mainly consists of roasted vegetables, specifically carrots, potatoes, and Brussels sprouts. My furry friend is also a fan of all those vegetables, which are, thankfully, safe for canine consumption.
My dog particularly enjoys plain, boiled carrots. Not only is this a delicious treat for my furry friend, but it is actually quite beneficial, as reported by the American Kennel Club. For instance, it is chock-full of vitamin C, and fiber.
Now, before you give your furry friend any carrots — either raw or cooked — you’ll need to make sure you chop them up into bite-sized pieces. After all, this vegetable can be a choking hazard.
In addition, please speak to your dog’s vet before you add anything new to their diet — like carrots!
