During this time of uncertainty, it's important to spotlight and support incredible small businesses. One that has certainly captured our hearts is Boris & Horton, a hip cafe located in New York that caters to customers of the human and canine variety. The dog-friendly coffee shop was founded by the father-daughter duo Coppy Holzman and Logan Mikhly in 2017. Recently, we were lucky enough to catch up with Logan on the Woof Life Show.

If you haven’t met Howard the Dog, he is one of the most unique dogs I’ve ever met. He is the embodiment of Adopt Don’t Shop and what being a rescue dog means, in my opinion. He is a dog who is no taller than a basset hound but is 60 pounds of PURE MUSCLE. Howard took the esteemed honor of winning The American Dog Rescue Show this year which was hosted by The Hallmark Channel. In honor of today, May 20th being National Rescue Dog Day we thought it would be fun to work with Embark Vet who has the premier Doggy DNA Tests. Think 23 and Me but for canines. Many times with rescue dogs there is little to no information about the dog their back story, lineage, and the rescue group has to take the best guess as the breed from what they know.
