The story of Merryweather, an adorable 3-year-old brown pit bull, is one of resilience. Her plight exemplifies the notion that animal rescue spotlights both the best and unfortunately, the worst of humanity. This pup has a story that has gained celebrity attention and a nationwide effort to get her a rescue ride. Although this pup has seen the worst of humanity, her face and her smile show us that dogs are so resilient. This pup deserves a forever home more than any other pup in the world. Every obstacle in life that has been thrown her way it has not killed her joy for life! Let’s find this girl a home!

Howard The Dog's The 2019 American Dog Rescue Show Winner's - DNA Test Revealed

If you haven’t met Howard the Dog, he is one of the most unique dogs I’ve ever met. He is the embodiment of Adopt Don’t Shop and what being a rescue dog means, in my opinion. He is a dog who is no taller than a basset hound but is 60 pounds of PURE MUSCLE. Howard took the esteemed honor of winning The American Dog Rescue Show this year which was hosted by The Hallmark Channel. In honor of today, May 20th being National Rescue Dog Day we thought it would be fun to work with Embark Vet who has the premier Doggy DNA Tests. Think 23 and Me but for canines. Many times with rescue dogs there is little to no information about the dog their back story, lineage, and the rescue group has to take the best guess as the breed from what they know.
