According to nationalpitbullawarenessday.org, this pawsome holiday was established 14 years ago as a way “to change perceptions and stereotypes about bully breed dogs.” The holiday’s founder Jodi Preis, who runs the Tennessee-based pit bull rescue Bless the Bullys, wanted to “restor[e] the image of the American Pit Bull Terrier.”
