Best Halloween Costumes for You and Your Dog to Wear Together in 2025

Halloween is nearly upon us! This means that you only have a few more weeks to pick out a “couple’s costume” for you and your furry friend. I know from personal experience that this can get stressful. After all, you and your dog want to wow every trick-or-treater you encounter, meaning you have to go for something recognizable yet interesting. Before you and your furry friend start stressing out about all the possible costumes you could choose from, here are a few ideas that my dog personally approved.

Carl and Dug From the Pixar Movie 'UP'

If you’ve got the vibe of a grumpy old man who secretly has a heart of gold despite losing the love of his life, this is the ideal costume. It’s also super helpful if your dog happens to be a Labrador.

Shaggy & Scooby-Doo From 'Scooby-Doo'

This is a super easy and fun “couples” costume. For Shaggy, just get an olive green shirt and some brown pants. As for Scooby, you can purchase a replica of his signature collar

Ash & Pikachu From 'Pokemon'

Like Ash and Pikachu, we know that you and your furry friend are inseparable. We’re just hoping that your canine companion doesn’t electrocute their adversaries when angry.

Hiccup & Toothless From 'How to Train Your Dragon'

I think we can all agree that Toothless is the cutest dragon around. This is a simple costume if your dog has black fur. All you need to do is get some black wings and you’re good to go!

Charlie Brown & Snoopy From 'The Peanuts'

Snoopy is my dog’s celebrity crush. She really likes his kind of rude vibe.

Little Red Riding Hood & the Wolf

This costume calls for your dog to be dressed up as the Wolf disguised as Little Red Riding Hood’s grandmother. With that in mind, you’ll need a shawl, glasses, and an old-fashioned bonnet.

Supergirl/ Superman & Krypto From 'Superman'

After seeing Superman (three times), I can safely say I’m obsessed with Krypto. My dog is dressing up as this hero for Halloween. I’ve already bought her a cape

Dorothy & The Cowardly Lion From 'The Wizard of Oz'

This iconic duo has even more relevance because of the upcoming movie, Wicked: For Good.
