Are Raspberries Good for Dogs?
My furry friend and I share almost the same pallet. However, she does have more of an appreciation for munching on grass than I do. I digress.
What I’m trying to get at is that my canine companion and I both enjoy healthy snacks, like raspberries. Thankfully, the fruit has many benefits for our furry friends. According to the American Kennel Club, raspberries have a high fiber content, plenty of vitamin C, and contain manganese.
That being said, pet parents should be mindful of how much raspberries they are giving their furry friend. The AKC reported that the berry does have some xylitol, which is harmful to dogs. Therefore, you should only give your furry friends a berry or two as a snack. PetMD also warns that pup parents should consider cutting up the fruit for smaller dogs or puppies.
In addition, dog owners should talk to their dog’s vet prior to changing up their diet.
