These 2 Celebrities Rescued a Bulldog Affected by LA Wildfires
Chrissy Teigen and her husband, John Legend, have become pup parents to an adorable rescue bulldog named Dudley.
According to People magazine, the couple celebrated National Puppy Day on March 23 by introducing their fans to Dudley in an Instagram upload. In the video, Teigen and Legend shared that they adopted the furry friend from the Los Angeles-based rescue, Wags and Walks. According to Teigen, the dog was brought into the rescue “shortly after the LA wildfires” in January 2025. The pup was suffering from a severe case of pneumonia. Thankfully, he made a full recovery!
In the caption of the post, Legend and his wife said that when they “first met Dudley, he was fighting for his life.”
“Thirteen days in the hospital, endless love from his foster family, and an incredible recovery later – he’s officially home,” continued the couple. “Nothing can replace the dogs we’ve loved before, but sometimes, the universe sends us the reminder that we need to open our hearts again. Call it kismet. 🐶💫Adoption saves lives, and there are so many more dogs waiting for their second chance. Thank you @wagsandwalks – we are in love. 💛”

Teigen and Legend announced that their beloved dog Penny had passed away in January 2025. In an Instagram post, Teigen wrote that the family’s “beautiful little tripod queen, Penny, passed on peacefully in her sleep today.” She also shared that Penny was “born the same day” that she and her husband John Legend tied the knot “11 years ago.”
“She was there for us for every baby, every loss, every joy. She loved nothing more than being loved, having her nub rubbed and destroying any ball she could get her paw on, even till her last weeks,” continued Teigen in the caption. “Never forget that while every pup is just a few chapters in your long life, for them you are their entire book, their entire lives.”
She also shared she believed her furry friend was now with her other late dogs, Puddy and Pippa.
