Meet the 'Ted Lasso' Cast’s Adorable Dogs and Cats Ahead of Season 4
You better BELIEVE it – the fourth season of Ted Lasso is premiering on August 5! While I thought the show’s season 3 ending was a satisfying series finale, I’m in no way against viewers having more time with the endlessly optimistic coach Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis)!
To celebrate the comedy’s new episodes, we thought we would spotlight some of the show’s biggest animal lovers.

Tanya Reynolds

Tanya Reynolds, who will be playing assistant coach Alice Chilton in the upcoming season, is a devoted dog mom to a gorgeous rescue pup named Borage. She introduced the beautiful dog to her Instagram followers in a 2024 post. In the caption, she shared that the furry friend was adopted from Dogs Trust West London.
“Time to put my son on the grid 💛 We adopted this legend from @dogstrust_westlondon earlier in the year and he has been the best decision we ever made. His name is Borage (that's like porridge with a B) and his favourite things are tummy rubs, chewing everything the world has to offer and occasionally looking like a very serious news reader. The meaning of life is in the wag of his tail 💛 Thank you @dogstrust for our best friend 🐾,” read the post’s caption.
Faye Marsay

Faye Marsay has been cast as footballer Lizzy for Ted Lasso Season 4. During a 2025 interview with Country and Townhouse, Marsay revealed that her dog has helped her with her work-life balance.
“I used to be awful at this but I’m having to learn that I need to recharge in quiet. Its cliche, but being outside in the quiet of the woods or in the countryside helps me. I’ve got a dog, so walking her has helped with all of that. I love fishing too,” said the actress.
Jodi Balfour
Jodi Balfour, who played Jack Danvers during the show’s third season, shares two dogs, Mr. Pickles and Buttercup, with her wife, Abbi Jacobson. While speaking to Floyd Home, Balfour said that she loves when her dog greets her when she comes home, which every pup parent can relate to!
Anthony Head
While late Anthony Head played possibly the most despicable character on the show, he seemed to be a gem in real life. The Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor owned two furry friends, Alvin and Cookie Dough Dynamo. In a 2018 interview, Head shared that he had fostered Cookie Dough before deciding to adopt her. He described the very good girl as “the most remarkable little soul.” He also encouraged others to adopt, not shop, stating “rescue is best because it makes that bond between you and the animal that much more special.”
