Chrishell Stause Posts Beautiful Tribute for Her Late Rescue Dog, Gracie
“Selling Sunset” star Chrishell Stause shared the devastating news that her beloved rescue dog, Gracie, has passed away.
In a March 2025 Instagram upload, Stause shared a tribute to her late dog, whom she adopted from the Burbank Animal Shelter in 2017. The post featured several pictures and videos of the gorgeous little lady.
“Our beloved Gracie left us peacefully today. Thank you to anyone that was a friend to her and helped make her life here better. It’s impossible to post a fraction of the joy this angel brought me,” shared Stause.
The reality television star also said that she will be covering adoption fees in Gracie’s honor.
“Gracie was adopted from the @burbankanimalshelter and for the next week, if you tell them Gracie’s name, I will be covering all adoption fees. ♥️,” shared Stause.
Stause has been open about her decision to adopt not shop. For instance in a 2021 interview with PETA, alongside Gracie, Stause shared she feels a kinship with rescue dogs because she experienced homelessness during her childhood.
“Coming from a background of dealing with homelessness my heart understands how when I’m walking in the shelter, that kind of feeling,” said Stause.
She also encouraged her fans to adopt dogs from rescues and shelters.
“I think it’s important for people to adopt. You don’t want the demand for breeders. There’s already too many dogs that don’t have homes,” said Stause during the interview.
In addition, Stause shared that when she adopted Gracie, she was bonded with an elderly dog named Memphis, believed to be her father. Stause said she also took in Memphis and ensured his remaining months were full of joy until he passed.
