Does Jason Kelce Still Have Dogs? Here's What You Need to Know

Retired NFL player Jason Kelce and his wife, podcaster Kylie Kelce, have long been obsessed with Irish Wolfhounds. The couple currently has a sweet pup from the breed called Nessie. Jason introduced his fans to the dog during a September 2024 episode of his and his brother Travis Kelce’s podcast, New Heights. 

When Travis said the pup “seems like an absolute sweetheart,” Jason playfully replied, “She’s a terror.” According to Jason, Nessie taught herself to turn doorknobs and take dishes off the counter.

Unfortunately, the couple said goodbye to their other beloved Irish Wolfhound named Baloo, who passed away at the age of 7, earlier this year. In a March Instagram upload, Kylie described the Irish Wolfhound as “the goofiest, sweetest, most lovable, and tolerant dog [she has] ever met.” According to Kylie, when she told her daughters, Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 4, and Bennett, 2, the dog died, her middle child shared that she believed Baloo would be reunited with the family’s late dog, Winnie, who passed away in March 2024. 

“When I told the girls that Baloo was going to leave us, Ellie asked where he was going. I told her that he was going to heaven and without skipping a beat she replied, ‘Oh! He’ll get to be with Winnie again! They’ll be so happy to see each other!’” wrote Kylie in the post caption. 

She also said, “The heartbreak is immense, but as Ellie so perfectly pointed out, the Winnie-Bubba reunion had to be pure magic.”
