What Are The Benefits Of Being A Chewy Customer?

If you are a pup parent, you have likely heard of the online retailer Chewy. For those unaware, the website, which was founded 11 years ago, has a whole range of items for pets for a relatively low price, as reported by Best Company. As of 2022, Chewy sells products, such as food, treats, toys, crates, supplements, leashes, and grooming supplies, from over two thousand beloved companies, like Kong, Hill’s, NexGard, and The Disney Collection.

Another major draw of the site is that items can be shipped within two days. I find this particularly helpful because if my dog wants an item, she needs it ASAP. Or else.

Orders over $49 will ship for free. Anything cheaper than that will cost you $4.95 to be delivered.

Pet parents can also save some money by signing up for Chewy’s Autoship. According to the website, you will “save an extra 5% on select brands” once you “schedule regular deliveries of your pet supplies.”

The e-commerce company has also made making sure that your furry, feathered, or scaly friends are in tip-top shape super simple. In 2021, Chewy established the Practice Hub, “a veterinarian-only marketplace designed to streamline pharmacy operations.” The company’s CEO, Sumit Singh, explained that the company has “partner[ed] directly with veterinarians to improve the customer experience while simultaneously helping to grow revenues for their clinics.”

“The launch of Practice Hub™ is part of Chewy Health’s ecosystem and reinforces our commitment to support the veterinarian community across the country. This innovative, new platform utilizes technology to bring veterinarians to the forefront of e-commerce and delivers an experience their customers will love,” explained Sumit Singh.

Matthew Dobbs, the Chief Medical Officer at Destination Pet, a provider of Veterinary and Pet Resort services, shared that his company has partnered with Chewy to make its Practice Hub a reality. He stated that he believed “it just made a lot of sense to give [their] clients another option to order their pets’ medications with fast, free shipping on a broad selection of pet medications, including veterinary diet food, and remove the hassle of approving online prescriptions in-clinic.”

“Destination Pet’s values of ‘great customer service, innovative offerings for pet parents and a respect for the autonomy of the veterinarian’ align with the core values of Chewy – so developing a new, exciting partnership was a logical step to take,” asserted Dobbs.

Chewy has also made an effort to help dogs in need. The website reports that the company has “donated more than $97M in products” in just the last decade.
