TikTok Sensation Noodle The Pug's Book Is A New York Times Best Seller
In 2021, Jonathan Graziano and his 13-year-old rescue pug called Noodle became TikTok stars. Fans became obsessed with his videos, where he picks his pooch up first thing in the morning. If his furry friend flops back on his bed, it’s a “no bones day.” Conversely, if Noodle stays upright then it’s a “bones day.” In one TikTok, Graziano explained that a “no bones day” means that people should “be kind to themselves” and have a relaxing day.
Now, on “bones days,” fans of Noodle should be more productive with their time. In a separate TikTok, Graziano suggested that his viewers should “make something of [their] day” if his dog remained rigid.
“Go have Greek food by a river. What a thrill that is. Go do it. Buy the couch you’ve always wanted,” quipped the social media sensation.
While speaking to TODAY in October 2021, Graziano shared that he “adopted [Noodle] when he was 7 and a half years old” and soon discovered that he occasionally had “no bones.”
“We just learned quickly in the mornings if he is not ready to wake up or go on a walk, he’s going to do what he can to prevent that from happening,” said Graziano with a laugh.
Graziano penned a children’s book about his beloved canine companion, appropriately titled “Noodle and the No Bones Day,” which is already on the New York Times Best Sellers list. According to the description, the picture book follows Noodle during one of his “no bones days.”
During a June 2022 TODAY interview, Graziano spoke about his new children’s book.
“It’s a story about Noodle going about his day as a normal dog and then I encounter the very first no bones day so the book is all about me figuring out that not only is it important for me to listen to Noodle when he does or does not want to do something, but that it’s okay to let people know that you need either a personal day or if you are kind of ready to go out in the world. It’s a really wonderful book that’s really about communicating how you are feeling,” stated the 31-year-old.
He went on to say that he was excited to write a book about the importance of self-care for children.
“I’m still kind of new to the self-care idea so the idea that we can introduce it in a children’s book and frame it in this way, it’s just wonderful to see this has really made an impact on people,” stated the dog owner.
On June 15, Graziano uploaded a TikTok video celebrating the fact that he is a New York Times Best Selling author. He tearfully expressed gratitude towards his dog’s devoted fans.
“The messages about how much you love the book and how much your kids love the book — I’m just very grateful,” said the children’s book author.
