Selma Blair's Service Dog Was the Real Star at the Oscars After-Party

Selma Blair’s service dog Scout absolutely stole the show during this year’s Oscar after-party.

Blair, who has been open about her battle with Multiple Sclerosis, had her furry friend by her side during the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party. According to TODAY, several celebrities, like Laverne Cox, Chrissy Teigen, Patricia Clarkson, and Justin Theroux, showered the very good boy with attention at the event.

TODAY reported that Blair told the publication that her dog “is such a love.”

“He’s really my best friend and makes everything a lot better and apparently he’s my love language,” said Blair during the interview. “Scout is the man and he comes with me on everything I’m so excited to do now. And movies and my son and Scout is absolutely part of the family.”

Blair opened up about getting Scout as her service dog in a 2022 interview with People magazine. Blair described the dog as “ a tremendous gift,” who has “kept [her] moving and helped [her] build stamina.”

“He's with me all the time. If I fall into a big [muscle] spasm or have some trouble moving and need to recalibrate, he can get between my legs, help me get up, and balance me. It's given me a lot of independence,” said Blair to People.
