RHOSLC Star Bronwyn Newport Shares Beautiful Tribute to Late Dog
“Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Bronwyn Newport shared sad news with fans.
In mid-February, Newport took to her Instagram account to announce that her beloved boxer, Claire, had passed away. The post included a slideshow that featured several pictures of the sweet pup.
In the caption of the post, Newport said that her late dog had been suffering from lymphoma. She said that she and her family knew her dog was “uncomfortable and clearly in pain,” causing them to make “the very hard decision to let her rest.”
“Claire has been the heart and center of our family from the day she was gifted to us. Best friend to each human and dog in our house over the years, Claire was the alpha, the protector, the grumpiest goof, and the most loveable and loyal friend,” continued Newport in the post’s caption.
Newport also said her furry friend, who was featured on the fifth season of RHOSLC, “loved blankets, snacks, car rides, pajamas, long walkies, and pretending to hate family photos and the ridiculous songs [my daughter] Gwen and I would make up and sing to her.”
Newport also said that Claire “has mothered every dog in our home and been the emotional support pet to each family member at different hard times in our lives.”

“It feels like an end of an era as Claire was there just as [my husband] Todd and I got engaged, married, through all our moves, and was our rock through so many illnesses and challenges,” captioned Newport. “I’m so grateful for her snuggles and farts, and for the steady and constant presence of support and love she has been to me, my husband, my daughter, my father and every friend who ever came to our house whose lap she’d promptly climb on to!”
Besides Claire, Newport owns several Boxers. In a November 2024 interview on the “Viall Files” podcast, Newport shared that two of her Boxers are brothers “from two different litters” that “were unsellable” because they were runts. She said she and her husband, Todd Bradley, rescued the two furry friends.
Rest in peace, Claire, you beautiful girl!
