Shelter Determined To Get Paul Rudd To Adopt Look-A-Like Rescue, Known As Pawl Ruff

I think it’s safe to say that Paul Rudd is Hollywood’s darling. He’s witty, charming, and appears not to age.

Members of the Collierville Animal Shelter, located in Tennessee, noticed that one of their furry friends, named Waffle House, bore a resemblance to the “Ant-Man” actor, as reported by People magazine. Now, they may not look identical, but the dog undoubtedly shares Rudd’s charisma and good looks.

Due to the Australian Shepherd mix’s shared features with Rudd, the Collierville Animal Shelter gave him the incredible nickname, Pawl Ruff. The official Twitter account for the Town of Collierville launched a social media campaign encouraging Rudd to bring home the very good boy. The Twitter post, uploaded on February 14, 2023, included numerous side-by-side pictures of Rudd and the pup.

“While making love connections between pets and people today, we discovered one of our dogs is meant to be with Paul Rudd. We have nicknamed him Pawl Ruff. Paul doesn't have a Twitter handle, but @AntMan does. And honestly, what is more heroic than adopting a shelter pet?” read the post’s caption.

According to People magazine, the Collierville Animal Shelter shared that Waffle House, aka Pawl Ruff, has many positive attributes for a canine companion, including being “gentle” and “easy-going.”

On February 20, the Town of Collierville updated fans about Pawl Ruff and announced he had found his forever home in Collierville, meaning that it does not appear that Rudd adopted him. Regardless, we are sure the furry friend will now have a loving family. Hopefully, they’ll have Paul Rudd movie nights on the reg.

Rudd has not commented on his furry doppelganger, presumably because he’s too busy promoting the third installment of the “Ant-Man” franchise, “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.”

Here at Woof Republic, we are so pleased that Pawl Ruff has been adopted!
