'It's A Dog's Life' Is The Perfect Show For Fans Of Disney And Dogs

If you are a fan of Disney and dogs, boy is there a show for you! Earlier this month, Disney+ released the first episode of the series, It’s a Dog’s Life, hosted by Bill Farmer, who has provided the voices of both Goofy and Pluto since 1987.  In a recent interview with People magazine, the voice actor stated that he is thrilled to have the opportunity to travel throughout the United States and showcase amazing pups.

The series spotlights working dogs who have incredible jobs. (I’m considering having my pup, Ruby, watch the show with me. She rarely contributes to the finances and hasn’t paid rent in over four years.)

Some of the jobs include being a ranch dog, providing emotional support for cheetahs at the Cincinnati Zoo, and sniffing out orca excrement for scientific research. Farmer noted that he is impressed by the abilities of the pooches -- who are mostly rescues -- he’s come across while filming the family-friendly show.

“I am constantly amazed at what dogs can do,” said the 67-year-old.

Every episode of the series also features a brief segment called “Pluto’s Pointers,” in which the audience at home is provided with tips and tricks on how to train their dogs.

While sitting down with ABC 7 New York, Farmer confided that he believes that the show can help those who are going through a difficult time during the current circumstances.

"In these kind[s] of times, we need friends. Friends that can be around that give us unconditional love. Dogs can keep us sane, actually,” explained the Disney Legend.

And frankly, we couldn’t agree more.

You can stream new episodes of It’s a Dog’s Life Friday evenings on Disney+. Just don’t forget to make some pupcorn!
