George Stephanopoulos Welcomes New Adorable Member to His Family
ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos and his wife, Ali Wentworth, announced major news during a July 2 Good Morning America segment.
People magazine reported that Wentworth and her husband shared they adopted a super cute Golden Retriever puppy called Fig from the nonprofit animal rescue and advocacy organization, 1 Love 4 Animals. The couple debuted the sweet girl on the morning news show.
"We adopted her last night. If she wasn't adopted, she probably would have spent her life in a cage as a breeder — and I know what that feels like!" quipped Wentworth, who has two daughters, Elliott Anastasia, 22, and Harper Andrea, 20, with Stephanopoulos.
The comedian then shared that her furry friend “is really sweet.”
“I wanted a boy because we have two daughters, and yet this little girl just caught my eye. I looked at this little girl and she was like, 'Hi! I might be cuter than everybody in this family!' And she just came up to me,” continued Wentworth.
The couple also have a senior dog named Daisy.
