Unwind At These 5 Dog-Friendly Wineries With Your Pooch By Your Side

As we are approaching the sixth month of quarantine, really nothing sounds better than going on a weekend trip to a winery with your dog by your side. I think we all could use having some quality time with our furry friend and a few glasses of wine right now.

Thankfully, there are a couple of dog-friendly wineries that are taking the proper precautions to ensure that they can remain open during the pandemic. Here are a few of our top picks.

Mutt Lynch Winery

Mutt Lynch Winery in Windsor, California, has been voted as the Most Pet-Friendly Winery in Sonoma County and there’s no secret why. Not only is the winery accommodating to our furry friends, but they also sell bottles of their handcrafted wine with adorable dog-themed labels. Mutt Lynch’s owner and winemaker, Brenda Lynch, has also raised funds for a variety of animal rescues.

During your visit, you may even have the honor of meeting the winery's dogs, Violet and Clyde

Honig Winery

Honig Winery, located in Rutherford California, currently offers wine tastings on their gorgeous patio, surrounded by vineyards and mountains. Your pooch is welcome to stay by your side, as long as he is leashed.

Tres Sabores

Tres Sabres, found at 1620 S Whitehall Ln., St. Helena, California, is a spacious ranch that you and your dog are free to roam and with a glass of their delicious wine in hand. This beautiful winery is also home to three precious pups, Bouzy Rouge, Cava, and Brilla.

Ruby Vineyard

Now I may be partial to Ruby Vineyard, as I have an adorable dog who shares the same name. This Hillsboro, Oregon winery is a remodeled dairy building that has all of its original charm. Dogs are welcomed in the tasting room, provided that they are over 21 (just kidding -- everyone knows laws don’t apply to pups).

More often than not, guests are graced with the winery’s most handsome team member, a 13-year-old rescue called Stanley

This Solvang winery allows both children and dogs in their tasting room, meaning that you can bring along your whole family. The staff also provides a dog bed and plenty of treats, so your pup will have an excellent time, as you sip on delicious wine. Another reason to love the Carivintas Winery is their continuous donations to non-profit rescues and shelters.
