Daisy Edgar-Jones Says Glen Powell's Dog Should Be Named 'Sexiest Man Alive'
Like everyone who was blown away by the incredible film, “Twister,” (pardon the pun), I have an appreciation for the movie’s leads, Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones.
Not only are they amazing actors, but they have both a deep love for Powell’s adorable rescue dog, Brisket.
Even though she is no longer promoting “Twister” alongside Powell, Edgar-Jones is still talking about his furry friend on red carpets. For instance, while speaking to People magazine on September 7, the “Normal People” actress was asked who she would vote for to be named the “Sexiest Man Alive” of 2024 for the publication’s annual issue.
“I’d say Brisket, Glen Powell’s dog. I know he’s technically not human, but he’s the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen,” joked Edgar-Jones.
This is not the first time that Edgar-Jones has publicly spoken about Brisket. In a July 2024 interview with People magazine, Edgar-Jones said she believed Powell’s recent mainstream success can be partially attributed to Brisket.
"I think Brisket can't take all the credit. But Brisket definitely adds to the flavor of joy, and fun, and fluff,” said Edgar-Jones.
Fans of Powell are likely very familiar with Brisket. On the June 10 episode of the “Drew Barrymore Show, Powell opened up about his decision to adopt Brisket, who he calls his “son.”
He explained that he decided that he wanted to become a pup parent while shooting “Twister” in Oklahoma.
“I was feeling like I needed to be a dad as soon as possible. So Brisket was the solution,” said Powell.
He also shared that he adopted the very good boy from The LaBelle Foundation, located in Los Angeles. In addition, he stated that his furry friend was taken in by the rescue around the Fourth of July. The 35-year-old suggested his beloved dog was at risk of being put down.
“It’s kind of terrible. But before July 4th, you know, because a lot of dogs ran away, with the fireworks, he was probably one of those crew that would be put down. So, we got Brisket just in time,” said Powell.
