8 Romantic Comedies That Feature Dogs
One of my and my dog's favorite activities is watching romantic comedies. We are just suckers for a good love story with quippy banter and a series of frustrating miscommunications. We also have a preference for rom-coms that feature furry friends who are scene-stealers.

Legally Blonde
“Legally Blonde” is one of the most iconic movies from the early 2000s. Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) is a delightful character. Not only is she a fun, fashionable lawyer, but she is also devoted to her adorable chihuahua, Bruiser.
Must Love Dogs

In the 2005 romantic comedy, “Must Love Dogs,” Sarah Nolan (Diane Lane) signs up for an online dating site and asserts that her potential partner “must love dogs,” even though she does not own one. Rest assured though, she does bring her brother’s gorgeous Newfoundland to her first date with Jake Anderson (John Cusack).
You've Got Mail

I’ll be honest -- I'm not actually a fan of “You’ve Got Mail.” Frankly, I find Joe Fox’s (Tom Hanks) decision to conceal his identity as Kathleen Kelly’s (Meg Ryan) virtual love interest to be diabolical. Also, the fact that he is very much responsible for her beloved bookshop, The Shop Around The Corner, closing, is quite possibly the biggest red flag. I truly believe that Joe’s only redeemable quality is that he owns a very good boy named Brinkley.
Dog Days

As the name implies, the 2018 film “Dog Days” stars quite a few canine companions. The movie is basically a version of “Love Actually” where all the characters own dogs.
The Holiday
Now, I know that “The Holiday” is considered a Christmas movie. However, it transcends the holiday season and can be watched at any time. In the film, Amanda Woods (Cameron Diaz) spends some time in Iris’ (Kate Winslet) quaint English cottage, where her dog resides.
Monster-In-Law

Granted, “Monster-In-Law” does not focus too much on romance. However, there are some romantic moments, so I’ll count it as a rom-com. The movie follows Charlie Cantilini (Jennifer Lopez), a charming dog walker, as she falls in love with a doctor named Kevin Fields. Unfortunately for Charlie, Kevin has an overbearing mother (Jane Fonda), who is actively trying to destroy their relationship.
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
In “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” journalist Andie Anderson (Kate Hudson) tries her best to get Benjamin Barry (Matthew McConaughey) to break up with her for an article. One of her tactics is bringing home a Chinese Crested Dog, which, frankly, I think is rude because those dogs are super cute. If anything, I would fall more in love with someone if they got me one.
The Proposal

While most of the “Proposal” is delightful, I have to admit that my favorite part of the movie is Grandma Annie’s (Betty White) dog, Kevin.
