6 Fun Activities To Do With Your Dog On Halloween

Even though Halloween is fast approaching, you may still be trying to figure out your plans for this spooky holiday. Here at Woof Republic, we highly recommend spending All Hallows’ Eve with your furry friend. After all, pups are obsessed with Halloween. For one, they love treats, and two, they know plenty of tricks.

Here are a few suggestions on how to celebrate Halloween with your canine companion by your side. 

Make Your Dog a Costume

While it is always an option to purchase a costume, it can be super fun (and cheaper) to create something special for your pet. Even if you are not all that crafty, you can still fashion a fabulous, fun, and functional costume. For instance, with just a boa, some funky sunglasses, and plenty of charisma, you can transform your pup into Harry Styles. 

Go Trick or Treating

Granted, human children are usually the ones participating in Trick-or-Treating. Now, if you have kids, you can easily bring your canine companion along for the night of knocking on neighbors' doors. Even those without children could take their furry friend out for Trick-or-Treating. Frankly, I would be delighted if I opened my door and saw an adorable dog wearing a costume. 

 Go To a Pumpkin Patch

Hands down, the most quintessential fall activity is going to a pumpkin patch. Just be sure to call ahead to make sure your local pumpkin patch is dog-friendly.  While there, you can allow your leashed dog to sniff around and pick out the perfect pumpkin. 

Get a Pumpkin Spice Latte

 Call me basic all you want, but I love a good pumpkin spice latte. To get into the Halloween mood, I intend on taking my pup to Starbucks and ordering myself a delicious PSL. Due to the fact that dogs can’t enjoy the tasty beverage, I’ll be getting my furry friend a pup cup.

Bake Your Pooch A Festive Treat

Unfortunately, dogs can’t eat Halloween candy. So that they don’t feel left out, consider baking them a festive treat, like a peanut butter and pumpkin cookie shaped like a bat. 

 Have A Dog-Themed Spooky Movie Marathon

I’ll be honest – I plan to spend Halloween curled up on the couch and watching a Halloween-themed movie with my furry friend. Now, she refuses to watch films unless a dog is heavily featured. For that reason, we will either be watching “The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown,” “Frankenweenie,” or the hit 2011 film “Spooky Buddies.”
