Zendaya Says Her Dog, Noon, Is Her Emotional Support
Zendaya shared that she views her beloved canine companion, Noon, as a source of comfort.
During her December 2024 Variety’s Actors on Actors interview with Nicole Kidman, Zendaya spoke about navigating celebrity. Kidman said she believed Zendaya appears “very stable” and “seem[s] like [she has] got a great system around [her].” She then noted that Zendaya brought Noon to film the interview.
“When I say stable, I mean you know how to do your work and then also having your dog here. That’s good,” said Kidman.
A smiling Zendaya replied that Noon is her “emotional support.”
This is not the first time that Zendaya’s Miniature Schnauzer joined her for an interview. In November 2024, Zendaya spoke to Vanity Fair while the 9-year-old dog sat in her lap. During the interview, Zendaya said her dog, who she described as her “forever puppy,” “makes [her] really happy.”
“He brings a lot of joy to all the sets we’ve been on. It’s hard not to be obsessed with this face,” said Zendaya.
Zendaya then joked that Noon is a little annoyed by how obsessed she is with him. According to Zendaya, that’s why Noon prefers the company of her mother, Claire Stoermer, her boyfriend Tom Holland, and her personal assistant, Darnell Appling.
“He loves all three of them, more than he loves me. It’s fine … I think he knows that I love him too much. So he’s like you’re doing too much. You need to calm down. It’s being a mother. Thankless. Thankless job. Really,” quipped Zendaya
While speaking to Vanity Fair, Zendaya shared her dog’s other quirks. According to Zendaya, he is quite spoiled and has a sensitive stomach. In addition, the small pup “thinks he’s a guard dog,” which has caused some issues.
“He tried to fight a German Shepherd once. A few times. And I said, ‘Son, let’s be realistic here, girl,’” said Zendaya during the November 2024 interview.
