The Cast Of 'Younger' And Their Adorable Dogs

The final season of “Younger” premiered on April 15, 2021. Since 2015, audiences have fallen in love with the show, which depicts the life of Liza Miller, portrayed by Sutton Foster. The single mother decides to fight ageism in the publishing industry by pretending to be about 20 years younger than she actually is. In celebration of the show's farewell season, we thought we’d share adorable pictures of the cast and their canine companions. Without further ado, here are the dogs of “Younger.”

Sutton Foster

Sutton Foster currently has two precious rescue pups named Mabel and Brody. While speaking to Men’s Journal in 2019, the Broadway actress discussed why she adores rescue animals. She explained that while she was working on the 1997 production of “Annie,” she met professional dog trainer Bill Berloni.

“[I]f you ever see and dog or an animal in a Broadway show, touring show or regional show – chances are Bill Berloni trained them. And almost every dog you see is a rescue! He rescues dogs and turns them into Broadway stars! So I always knew that when I was ready to be a dog mom I was going to adopt,” said the actress. “Bill helped me find my first dog Linus. And when he passed away in 2014 Bill helped me adopt Mabel and then two years later Brody. I cannot imagine my life without my dogs and I’m so happy we found each other through adoption. There are so many dogs and pets out there looking for their forever home.”

During the interview, Sutton also spoke about her canine companions. She noted that her pups “are both incredibly affectionate.”

“Brody loves to play fetch with his ball and Mabel is an excellent set dog. But mostly I just love hearing the little patter or their feet around the house. And also knowing that I’ll never have to vacuum around the highchair – they are excellent little hoovers,” said the actress.

Hilary Duff

Like many Millenials who grew up obsessed with the Disney Channel, Hilary Duff will always be Lizzie McGuire in my heart. But that doesn’t mean she also isn’t incredible in her role as Kelsey Peters in "Younger."

Not only is Duff, an amazing actress, but she is also an awesome mom to children of both the human and canine variety. She and her husband, Matthew Koma, currently have four precious pups, Winnie, Lucy, Momo, and Peaches.

Molly Bernard

Molly Bernard, who portrays Lauren Heller, has a super strong bond with her adorable pup, Henry. During an interview with Wild One in 2019, the actress stated that she rehomed the dog after his original owners realized they did not want him. She noted that after adopting Henry, he “quickly became [her] best friend, and remains so.” Heller also revealed that the dog helped improve her mental health.

“Full disclosure, I was struggling with depression from ages 27 to 29, and I genuinely feel like Henry saved my life during that time. Caring for him was so rewarding and tangible, and helped take me out of myself when I was dealing with a lot of internal suffering,” explained the actress.

Debi Mazar

Debi Mazar and her pit bull Lampino aka Lampo are inseparable together. Judging by how much she posts about him on Instagram and Twitter, it is clear they spend a lot of time together exploring New York City and their neighborhood in Brooklyn. This photo was taken in Italy where she divides her time at a family home. Mazar’s poodle, Dolores, lived 19 long and prosperous years before it passed away several years ago.

The series finale of “Younger” will be available on June 3, 2021.
