Top US Ski Resorts To Bring Your Dog

During the winter season, my dog and I stay indoors. We are not fans of the snow or sleet and prefer to spend our time watching Hallmark original holiday movies. What can we say – we are suckers for films about stressed-out businesswomen falling in love with whimsical bakers who happen to be super into Christmas.

That being said, my canine companion and I respect individuals who are more adventurous during the winter. For instance, we are impressed by those who have mastered the art of skiing.

If you happen to be an avid skier, you likely plan on hitting the slopes soon. However, you may find it difficult to find a resort that meets your needs as a pup parent. So that you enjoy the ski season to the fullest of your ability, we’ve compiled a list of ski lodges that welcome furry friends.

The Lodge at Vail

Location: 174 Gore Creek Dr, Vail, CO 81657

Vail, Colorado, is one of the most popular areas for skiers. The Lodge at Vail offers cozy rooms for guests to make the harsh weather more bearable. After you spend a day on the slopes, you can relax at the lodge’s spa and grab a meal at Elway’s Vail.

Mountain Lodge Telluride

Location: 457 Mountain Village Blvd, Telluride, CO 81435

The gorgeous Mountain Lodge Telluride, known for its luxury cabins, can be found at Colorado’s San Juan mountain range. Guests have the option of skiing directly from the lodge to the Telluride ski resort.

Sunday River Resort

Location: 15 S Ridge Rd, Newry, ME 04261

Starting on December 26, skiers and their furry friends can visit Maine’s Sunday River Resort. The resort boasts 139 trails and 19 lifts.

Mt. Baker Ski Area

Location: Mt Baker Hwy, Deming, WA 98244

The great state of Washington offers many gorgeous spots to take Spot during the winter months. This is especially true of the Mt. Baker Ski Area, located in the delightful city of Deming. Furry friends are welcome to stay at the Mt. Baker vacation properties.

Gore Mountain

Location: 793 Peaceful Valley Rd, North Creek, NY 12853

Gore Mountain’s Alpine Lodge is a sanctuary for ski enthusiasts and their canine companions. While the resort’s pet-friendly rooms look quaint, they are quite modern and boast amenities like Smart TVs and voice-enabled technology. It is also worth noting that the lodge is just a five-minute drive from some of Gore Mountain’s most popular trails.
