‘The Traitors’ Host Alan Cumming Reveals the Truth About His Dog, Lala
If you’ve ever watched the hit Peacock competition series, The Traitors, you’re likely a fan of the show’s amazing host, Alan Cumming, and his beautiful pup, Lala. Well, Cumming recently shared a secret about his dog’s on-screen presence during a January 2026 interview with CBS Mornings. According to Cummings, the barks you hear on the show aren’t actually from his furry friend. The actor explained that Lala is an extremely quiet dog who very rarely raises her voice.
“She never makes a sound. There’s some dog somewhere that has the job dubbing Lala. Or some dog in a sound library. It’s so crazy,” said Cumming with a smile.
During the CBS Mornings interview, Cumming shared he was delighted that Traitors fans love his adorable pup.
“People say, ‘Is that Lala from The Traitors?’ It’s just hilarious. All this has happened to her. And she’s on merch and everything,” said Cumming during the interview.
Cumming shared that he rescued Lala in an interview with Masterpiece.
"Lala is a street dog from Costa Rica. She got pregnant and, as often happens, a vet took her in. And she had her puppies, and all of them were adopted and no one wanted her. I can’t believe that. She’s the most cute dog in the world!" said Cumming.
He also shared that once he adopted his furry friend, she was all over the tabloids.
"Within 48 hours of her being with us, she was mentioned in Page Six, the gossip column in the New York Post. Because that is my life,” said Cumming.
Cumming also has another rescue dog named Jeremy.
