The Cast of 'The White Lotus' & Their Adorable Dogs
The HBO series “The White Lotus” is continuing to charm audiences with its third season. Like the previous seasons, season 3 focuses on staff members and not-so morally sound guests at an international chain of luxury hotels, known as White Lotus Resorts.
In celebration of the new season, we thought we would spotlight some “White Lotus” stars who happen to be devoted dog owners.
Jennifer Coolidge
Jennifer Coolidge’s portrayal of Tanya McQuoid-Hunt snagged an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. While speaking to the American Kennel Club in 2016, the actress discussed her two rescue dogs, Dilly and Monkey. She shared she found Dilly at “the intersection at Fairfax and Melrose in Hollywood” and discovered she did not have a family. She also noted that she met Monkey while taping an episode of the “Nate Berkus Show” in 2011.
“Five years ago, when I was living in New York City doing a job, I got a request to go on the Nate Berkus show and do the dog segment. All I had to do was bring a dog on stage and try to get someone in the audience to adopt it,” said Coolidge. “Even though the little black dog was incredibly charming, she didn’t get any takers. I called the show the next day and asked if anyone had shown interest in her. When they responded, ‘No, and she also has a cold now,’ I knew I wanted to be that little girl’s mom.”

While Walton Goggins’ season 3 character, Rick Hatchett, is a pretty terrible husband, the actor is one terrific dog dad. He owns a furry friend named Lucy.
Alexandra Daddario

Sydney Sweeney played college sophomore Olivia Mossbacher in the first season of “The White Lotus.” While speaking to Elle UK in January 2022, the actress shared some information about her precious pup, Tank, who appears to be a pit bull mix. She shared that when she was about 16 years old, she adopted the dog when she was a puppy without her parents’ permission.
“I drove home and I put her on my bed and I went to my mom and dad’s room and I was like guys, I was like 16 and a half, 17 years old, I was like don’t kill me I need you to come to my room. My mom was furious with me, my dad was like oh she’s so cute,” recalled the actress.
During the interview, she also explained why she named her dog Tank.
“I named her Tank because I wanted her to grow into a Tank. I wanted her to be a big, huge dog,” revealed Sweeney.

Murray Bartlett, who played Armand in season 1, revealed his canine companion helped him during the start of the pandemic. While speaking to The Guardian in 2021, the actor shared that “long walks with the dog and cooking” bettered his mental health while quarantining.
Connie Britton
Connie Britton appeared in the first season of “White Lotus” as Nicole. During a May 2015 interview with Us Weekly, the actress shared that she was a proud pup parent to two rescue dogs.
“I rescued my dog Lucy after she tried to go home in someone’s car and was left in the Hollywood Hills,” said the “American Horror Story” star. “I rescued my dog Josephine in Austin on my way to a Black Crowes concert. Her name comes from their song ‘Oh Josephine.’”
