'Sex and The City' Star Kristin Davis Welcomes New Furry Family Member
“Sex & The City” star Kristin Davis is a proud pup parent to a very good boy named Chewy, as reported by People magazine.
According to the publication, the Director of Content at The Dogist, Isabel Klee, was fostering Chewy before Davis adopted him. In an Instagram video, uploaded on October 31, Klee shared she was meeting with Davis, whom she described as one of her “all-time favorite actresses,” before Chewy’s adoption was finalized.
According to Klee, Davis had been expressing interest in Chewy since she began fostering him.
“From the day I got Chewy, Kristin has been DMing me. She messages me every single day. She is so in love with him,” said Klee in the Instagram video.
The October 31 Instagram post also included a video of Davis and Chewy meeting for the first time.
“Who's the cutest boy,” said Davis while petting Chewy.
The actress also fed him treats and played tug with him.
Klee ended the video by thanking Davis for giving Chewy, who was rescued by Muddy Paws Rescue in New York City, his forever home.
“SO excited for Chewy and his incredibly sweet, kind, and loving new mama @iamkristindavis ❤️ thank you @muddypawsrescuenyc for saving our boy!” read the caption of the post.
Davis took to the post’s comments section to thank Klee and Muddy Paw's rescue.
“I need to thank YOU @muddypawsrescuenyc and @simonsits for being so incredible!!! So professional and thoughtful and patient ! Thank you for all that you do for so many amazing dogs- my kids and I are the lucky ones to have Chewy in our lives ♥️🙏🤗,” wrote Davis.
In a separate comment, Davis also thanked social media users for their kind words about her decision to adopt Chewy.
“I just want to say that I love all of you who have commented with such love and good vibes! The rescue community really inspires me and I will reread these if I‘m having a bad day in the future! Thank you ♥️😭♥️😭,” commented Davis.
Davis also shared that Chewy is not her first rescue dog in the post’s comments section.
“I lost my 2 previous fur babies ( both rescues) in 2021. They had been with me for 16 beautiful years. Chewy is a beautiful new chapter , just the kids and him currently !” commented the actress.
Here at Woof Republic, we are so happy that Davis chose to adopt not shop! We hope her fans will be inspired to do the same and visit their local rescue.
