Sandra Bullock’s Confession About Her Dogs Is Something Every Pet Parent Will Understand

I have a feeling that actress Sandra Bullock’s recent take on being a pup parent will resonate with many dog owners. 

While spending time with adoptable dogs for a Dodo interview, alongside her Practical Magic 2 co-star Nicole Kidman, Bullock revealed that she will cancel plans with people to be with her pets instead. 

“The company of people. The company of pets. People. Pets,” said Bullock while using her hands to show that her pets rank so much higher than people. 

Bullock, who has two children of the human variety, then said her favorite child is her little poodle, Sweetie. She also noted that she had two other pups before Sweetie, “a two-legged Chihuahua named Rubetella Versace who walked on her hind legs” and “Poppy who was a three-legged [dog].” 

Bullock mentioned Ruby and Poppy during a September 2026 episode of Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce. Bullock described the rescue dogs as her “ride or die.” 

In addition, she noted that Rubetella “ was found in a trash can,” discarded because of her lack of front legs. She also shared that Ruby was able to walk, even up stairs, using her tail like a “kickstand.”
