Highlights From Woof Republic's Virtual Howliday Charity Event

On December 16th, Woof Republic hosted a Virtual Howliday charity event in partnership with Austin Pets Alive! to raise money for dogs in need.

The event included trivia, a holiday / ugly sweater photo contest, adoption features, cookie and cocktail tips, and a special guest panel.

A major highlight of the event was the guest panel of contestants from Amazon Prime Video’s “The Pack” dog competition show (@thepackonprime). Six of the show's stars joined the event with their four-legged friends and shared their experiences traveling with their dog all over the world in support of their favorite dog charity. It was so fun hearing the unique ways their dogs surprised them along the way. Be sure to binge watch the entire series!

Comedian Jessica Michelle Singleton (@jmscomedy) led our judges panel as the MC. She was joined on the judges panel by author of A Dog’s Purpose Bruce Cameron (@adogspurpose), CBS Austin’s lifestyle host of “We Are Austin” Trevor Scott (@trevorscottatx), comedian Anne Marie Avey (@crazyavey), Austin Pets Alive coordinator Oliver Lacosta (@ollie.himself), vegan and cruelty-free entrepreneurs Jessica Salazar (@allthereaugust), and owner of Teddy V’s Patisserie Elisia Velasquez (@teddyvcookies)

The judges reviewed over 40 amazing dogs and cat photos and kept the audience highly entertained.

We had a number product partners providing prizes for the photo contest: Barkbox, Pet Shop by Fringe Studio, Fluff & Tuff, West Paw, Wufers, Dogs of Bravo, Pearls for Pups, Molly Mutt, Petphoria, Tito’s Vodka, Beco, Messy Mutts, Mollymutt, Oxyfresh, and Bruce Cameron’s book A Dog’s Perfect Christmas.
