Kristin Chenoweth Makes Super Relatable Comment About Being a Dog Mom

Any devoted dog mom will tell you they love their furry friend just as much as they would a human child. However, some people feel like that’s a terrible thing to say. After all, how can you compare a dog to a baby? Well, I, personally, think they are equally adorable and deserve everything they could possibly want -- so there.

And I know I’m not wrong because beloved actress Kristin Chenoweth upholds the same belief.

While speaking to People magazine for a June 4 interview, the 56-year-old said she’s run into quite a few people who have taken issue with her calling her cockapoo mix named Thunder her baby.

"When people say, 'Oh, it's just your dog,' I want to go, 'She came out of my vagina. What are you talking about?' I love my dog. Okay?" said Chenoweth while laughing during the People magazine interview.

Chenoweth also said she believes every pet parent should dote on their furry friends.

"I take it as a very big privilege to have a dog. Why get a dog unless you want unconditional love? I think I have several feelings, and some of them are a little spiritual in nature when I talk about it, but dog is God spelled backwards,” said the actress to the publication."I swear, Thunder can look me in the eyes, she's got human eyes, and she'll be like, 'Mommy, it's okay.' I don't know what it is. She's seen me in my worst and my best, and I'm so glad she can't talk because then I'd be in real trouble."
