Jennifer Aniston Honors Her Rescue Dog in New Children's Book 'Clydeo Takes a Bite Out of Life'
Here at Woof Republic, we’re a major fan of Jennifer Aniston. Not only is she one of the most charismatic actresses in Hollywood, but she is also a devoted dog mom.
In October 2024, Aniston released an adorable children’s book titled, “Clydeo Takes a Bite Out of Life,” which was inspired by her very good rescue dog, Clyde. The book tells the story of a sweet pup named Clydeo trying to find his purpose and passion in life.
In a statement to People magazine, Aniston shared she hoped that children would be inspired by Clydeo’s tale.
“I could not be more thrilled to be taking Clydeo and his stories to publishing, where he will hopefully inspire children and dog-lovers alike with his adorable journey to find his true passion,” said Aniston.
The ice president and publisher of HarperCollins Children’s Books, Nancy Inteli, also shared her excitement about the book’s release in a separate October 2024 statement to People.
“We are incredibly proud to partner with the one and only Jennifer Aniston and Invisible Universe to bring Clydeo’s silliness, kindness and warmth to life in books. Clydeo is not just a story about an adorable dog’s adventures, but also a celebration of the joy everyone finds in discovering their true passions,” said Inteli.
Aniston celebrated the release of her new book by bringing Clyde as her plus-one for the October 2 episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” She expressed gratitude to those who have purchased her book. In addition, she noted that she started the Clydeo Fund, “in honor of this book.” According to the Clydeo Fund website, the organization’s mission is to “save the lives of shelter animals, improve conditions within shelters, and bring joy and unconditional love to the homes of the humans who rescue them.”
“I care about helping animals and dogs – shelter dogs. And our shelters are in need of a lot of help as well,” said Aniston during the interview.
