Jack Quaid Has an Adorable Interaction With Drew Barrymore's Rescue Dog
There are plenty of reasons to love Jack Quaid. He’s charming and talented, and stars in a few of my favorite shows (“Lower Decks” and “My Adventures with Superman”). Quaid also showed he’s a total sweetheart when it comes to interacting with rescue dogs.
During a March 2025 interview on the “Drew Barrymore Show,” Quaid greeted Barrymore’s adorable rescue pup named Douglas. The actor knelt down while saying, “Look at this distinguished gentleman.” Barrymore said she appreciated that Quaid got “low” to make her dog feel more comfortable.
“You’re a good man,” said Barrymore to Quaid.
Quaid explained that he is conscious that some animals are afraid of him because of his height.
“I’m very tall. Usually with animals they are like that is a mountain and I should not approach him! So I’m just like, ‘Hi! How are you?’” said Quaid.
While Quaid does not seem to own any pets, Barrymore has seven. Along with Douglas, she has another dog named Lucy, four cats called Peach, Lucky, Big Kitty, and Little Kitty, and a bearded dragon called Jeremy.
Both Douglas and Lucy have made several appearances on the “Drew Barrymore Show.” For instance, the canine companion starred in a segment about grooming. While filming the April 2022 episode, Barrymore shared that her precious pups “are very much in love.”
“They have been together for almost nine years. They are very different dogs, they have very different personalities,” explained the mother of two.
