Inside Kaitlyn Bristowe's Incredible Story of How She Rescued Her Golden Retrievers
“Bachelor” star Kaitlyn Bristowe is a proud pup parent to two gorgeous Golden Retrievers, Ramen and Pinot.
Earlier this month, the reality television personality celebrated the 5-year anniversary of adopting Ramen from Bunny’s Buddies, a non-profit organization that saves dogs from slaughterhouses. The post featured a video of Bristowe meeting her furry friend for the first time in 2019.
“5 years since I rescued my soul dog. From the streets of South Korea, being saved by @bunnysbuddies and a couple surgery’s, he came to Nashville. Through a lot of love and rehab we got him into the confident king he is today. My heart grew 10 sizes that day. I like to pretend I birthed him because he is my baby. I love you rammyyyyyy,” read the post’s caption.
Bristowe and her now ex-fiance, Jason Tartick, opened up about rescuing Ramen and Pinot in a 2021 interview with The Dodo. Bristowe shared that she initially was “surprised” by Ramen’s sweet demeanor.
“You don’t know where these dogs have come from. Or what they’ve been through,” explained Bristowe.
Tartick also shared that he and Bristowe decided to adopt Pinot from Bunny’s Buddies about six months after they brought home Ramen. Bristowe explained that she became aware of Pinot’s story and wanted to make him Ramen’s brother. She stated, however, that Tartick expressed some hesitation. Eventually, it was revealed that Tartick wanted to surprise Bristowe and “was already in the process of getting Pinot.”
Bristowe also shared that Pinot and Ramen immediately had a strong bond.
“They actually fell in love pretty quick,” said the reality television star.
While Bristowe and Tartick are no longer together, they are committed to co-parenting their dogs. In a 2023 Instagram post, wherein they announced their breakup, the former couple stated that they “will love and take care of [Pinot and Ramen] together.”
