The Cast of 'Ginny & Georgia' & Their Furry Friends

While it’s polarizing, the Netflix original, “Ginny and Georgia,” has quickly become one of my favorite series. Now, there are so many reasons to be obsessed with the show. For one, it is extremely entertaining and can seamlessly shift its focus from petty drama to murder. The show also has an incredible cast. Not only are they insanely talented, but quite a few of them happen to be major dog lovers.

In celebration of the show’s upcoming third season, we thought we’d spotlight some of the stars of “Ginny and Georgia” and their canine companions.

Brianne Howey

Brianne Howey shines as Georgia Miller, born Mary Rose Reilly. After getting pregnant at 15, Georgia has had to look after herself and her children, Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Austin (Diesel La Torraca) by any means necessary. And we mean any

The actress spoke about her precious pup, Bodie, in a December 2022 interview with Shape magazine. She shared that she “may be overly obsessed with” her Australian Shepherd mix, which happens to be her first pet. She also said she and her husband, Matt Ziering,” adopted their furry friend “at the beginning of [the] COVID [pandemic].”

“He was the biggest heart-opener. I can be so cranky and in the worst mood or just feeling so down and in my head and having a hard time getting out of whatever rut, and I just go hang out with my Body boy, and it's the best,” said the actress.

Sara Waisglass convincingly plays a theatrical teenager, Max Baker, who takes an instant liking to Ginny when she first moves to Wellsbury, Massachusetts. The “Degrassi” actress is the owner of a gorgeous spaniel, who is often featured on her Instagram account

Mason Temple

Mason Temple portrays Ginny’s first boyfriend, the overly earnest Hunter Chen. The actor is a devoted dog dad to a sweet Golden Retriever

Nikki Roumel

Whoever cast Nikki Roumel as the young version of Georgia needs a round of applause. The actress often shares pictures of her gorgeous dogs, who appear to be a Yorkshire terrier and a shepherd, with her Instagram followers

Scott Porter

While Mayor Paul Randolph may seem to be Georgia’s most compatible love interest, I just don’t trust the guy. However, the actor who portrays him, Scott Porter, seems like a wonderful man. The father of one has two adorable pups, who look like super cute muppets.

Jennifer Robertson

Jennifer Robertson expertly portrays Max and Marcus’ (Felix Mallard) under-appreciated mother. The “Schitt's Creek” actress is a proud pup parent to a delightful Boston terrier

Humberly González

Max came on much too strong during her brief relationship with Sophie (Humberly González). González has made her sweater-wearing dog her companion while on set for various projects.
