Does Dolly Parton Have a Dog? Here's What You Need to Know

Beloved singer Dolly Parton not only has the voice of an angel, but also the aura of one. While we’re biased about this, we feel like this must means she’s a dog person. 

And it seems that we’re correct. While Parton doesn’t have a dog of her own, she dotes on her god-dog, a French Bulldog named Billy the Kid. For instance, in a February 2024 social media upload, Parton serenaded her furry friend on his 5th birthday.

In addition, Parton helped raise money for animals in need by releasing a line of dog apparel, called Doggy Parton in 2022, per Today. Items included a super cute pink cowboy hat and a chic gingham harness. While filming a promotional video, the “Jolene” singer explained that she has had a lifelong love of animals. She also told her fans that proceeds “will support Willa B. Farms, a rescue where animals in need find never ending love.”
