Chris Evans Reveals How His Beloved Dog, Dodger, Makes Him Laugh
Chris Evans has a lot going for him. He’s talented, charming, handsome, and happens to be one of the biggest dog lovers in Hollywood. If you are a fan of the “Deadpool & Wolverine” actor, you are well aware he adores his rescue pup, Dodger.
During an August 2024 interview with People magazine, Evans shared that his furry friend is quite funny.
"You know what he'll do sometimes, which is so cute? I won't have eyes on him. Then, you just kind of turn around, and you notice him," said Evans. "He's in the play position where his head is down, his butt's up in the air, and his tail's just going behind his head. And it's the funniest thing in the world."
While speaking to Us Weekly in an August 2024 interview, Evans noted he adopted Dodger during the production of the 2017 film “Gifted.” The furry friend had been tasked to play a shelter dog. Evans soon realized that Dodger was actually in need of a home and immediately took him in.
“There was no plan to get a dog that day, and I was just walking up and down the rows of dogs. And saw Dodger. And it just clicked,” said Evans.
Evans also shared that his furry friend, who is 9 years old, still has “a lot of energy.”
“He hasn’t changed from the second I saw him. He’s still a puppy. He’s still got a lot of love,” said Evans.
Evans also shared that his furry friend has helped him “stay present.”
“All Dodger thinks about is right now. And what a beautiful way to exist,” said Evans.
