'Bachelor' Star Reunites With Rescue Dog & Fans Are Going Wild
Bachelor star Jason Tartick has proved time and time again that he’s one of the biggest dog lovers who has ever graced reality TV.
People magazine reported Tartick reunited with his new rescue dog, Teddy, who was once abused. To help Teddy’s behavior, Tartick decided it was in the dog’s best interest to have him be trained at a facility for four weeks. On June 9, Tartick took to Instagram to share three adorable pictures of him reuniting with his sweet pup while at a park.
“Reunited at last!! Teddy is back and doing so well! Given his past, with abuse and neglect, addressing his reactivity was so important to his happiness and safety. After training, his peace of mind with other people, dogs and even moving objects like cars and bikes is truly a dream,” wrote Tartick in the post’s caption.
He also let fans know that Teddy is actually a mixed breed, despite looking like a Golden Retriever.
“This guy has 16 different breeds in his DNA; from Great Pyrenees and German Shepherd to Anatolian Shepherd and Chow Chow, which was so important to understand through his training process,” wrote Tartick. “I have been dedicated and invested in his training from day 1 of adoption, and it’ll be ongoing from here on out. Needless to say, I have so much comfort and confidence in saying that Teddy has officially been rescued in many more ways than one….and bc of him, so have I.”
Several fans took to the post’s comments section to share they appreciated Tartick’s efforts.
“I love how Teddy always gives you a big hug any time you reunite!! ❤️ That’s love!! ❤️ You two were made for each other!! 🐾,” wrote a fan.
“Thank you so much for rescuing,” added another.
“He’s so lucky to have you. And you’re so lucky to have him. 🙌🏼🐶,” shared a different person.
This is not the first time Tartick has rescued a dog. He and his now ex-girlfriend, Kailyn Bristow adopted two rescue dogs named Ramen and Pino.
Bristowe and her now ex-fiance, Jason Tartick, opened up about rescuing Ramen and Pinot in a 2021 interview with The Dodo. Bristowe shared that she initially was “surprised” by Ramen’s sweet demeanor.
“You don’t know where these dogs have come from. Or what they’ve been through,” explained Bristowe.
While Bristowe and Tartick are no longer together, they are committed to co-parenting their dogs. In a 2023 Instagram post, wherein they announced their breakup, the former couple stated that they “will love and take care of [Pinot and Ramen] together.”
