Actress Natasha Lyonne revealed that her furry friend, Rootbeer, wasn’t on her best behavior when meeting “Wicked” star Cynthia Erivo. While speaking to Variety in November 2024, Lyonne said she introduced her canine companion to Erivo during a photo shoot. 

“Yesterday Rootbeer my dog did bite Cynthia. And I am sorry for that,” said Lyonne. “But it was out of love.”

She said thankfully Rootbeer is a small dog and did not cause any damage. She also suggested that Erivo found the interaction humorous. 

“Boy did we laugh,” said Lyonne. 

Lyonne then admitted that Rootbeer often bares her tiny teeth. 

“Honestly, Rootbeer has bitten a lot of people. Like the list is so long,” said Lyonne with a laugh. 

As fans are aware, Erivo is a massive dog lover. In a November 22 interview with LADbible Entertainment, Erivo, who has two dogs, shared that she allows her furry friends to sleep in her bed. 

“It’s lovely,” said Erivo. 

In addition, she revealed that she is planning on bringing home two German Shepherds in the near future.
