Dog-Friendly Spring Break Travel Ideas

Winter is finally over, meaning that many college students are heading out to enjoy their Spring Break. If you are a pup parent, however, you may refrain from traveling because you don’t want to leave your dog alone.

That being said, there are ways you can travel and places you can go that are super pet-friendly.

It is worth noting that we are still in a pandemic, so please proceed with caution. Be sure that you are always wearing your mask when you’re out in public and stay away from heavily populated spots.

Now that we have that sorted, here are some dog-friendly Spring Break travel ideas.

Flying with a dog can be a bit of a nightmare, so it’s probably in your best interest to drive wherever you are traveling. Before you head out, make sure that you have all the proper supplies. We recommend bringing a first aid kit, plenty of food and water, and your dog’s favorite toy so he doesn’t get bored while you are driving on long stretches.

While staying at a dog-friendly hotel is definitely an option when traveling, it may be more fun to explore the great outdoors with your pup. Just be sure that the campsite that you choose allows canine companions.

When you go camping with a dog, be sure that you pack dog food, water, a collapsible bowl, a canine first aid kit, a harness, a leash, and a biodegradable poop bag.
