This Adorable Pickleball Paddle Helps Dogs In Need
Spring has sprung and the weather is finally getting warmer. This means I will attempt to start a new outdoor hobby. Over the past few years, I have unsuccessfully tried to improve my basketball game, severely hurt myself by roller skating, and had an asthma attack while long-distance hiking. Despite these issues, I will persevere and dedicate my time this spring to learning how to play pickleball.
I’ll be transparent, I am attracted to the sport because it has a quirky, cute name. Also, I need a reason to purchase the adorable Rover Pickleball Paddle, available at Recess. (Just a disclaimer: this is not a sponsored post – I’m just interested in pickleball paddles adorned with super cute pups).
This limited edition sweat-proof fiberglass paddle retails at $118. While that is relatively pricey, “a portion of the proceeds from each Rover paddle sold will go to Austin Pets Alive! (APA!),” per the website. For those unaware, APA is an incredible organization that has “saved over 100,000 animal lives” and has helped Austin officially become a “No Kill” city.
Now, I am attracted to this paddle for a number of reasons. For one, I know everyone will be super jealous of my gear at the pickleball court. Also, I will not feel pressured to excel at the sport because even if I lose a game, I’m helping pups in need.
The paddle currently has a 4.5-star rating. One reviewer shared that the paddle is “so cute.” They also revealed that they enjoyed “the grip and overall feel of the paddle as well.” Another pickleball enthusiast also noted they appreciated the paddle’s “fun design of ‘furry friends’” and its “excellent quality including the great grip and cover.”
“Just played several games with it today for the first time and couldn't be happier. "Recess’ is a great company that clearly cares about their customers!!” read a portion of the review.
