Can Dogs Eat Pineapple?

During the summer season, there’s nothing better than digging into a big bowl of fresh fruit. Like most dogs, my furry friend gets rather interested in what I’m eating.

Now, I try my best not to share my food with my canine companion. However, she's just too cute to say no to sometimes. I know -- I'm weak.

However, I never give her food that could be potentially toxic to dogs.

Fortunately, for my furry friend, dogs can safely consume pineapples. According to the American Kennel Club, pup parents can give their dogs a few small slices of raw, unsweetened pineapple. On hot summer days, your furry friend may enjoy snacking on a piece or two of fruit when frozen.

While pineapples, which have plenty of vitamins, minerals, and fiber, can be beneficial to your furry friend, always check with your pup's vet before adding anything new to their diet.
