As a Southern California native, I love San Diego. Not only are the beaches incredible, but there are a ton of amazing establishments and shops. As a pup parent, I particularly appreciate how many awesome dog-friendly places there are in the area.

The eclectic brunch spot Barbarella, which is within walking distance to the beach, allows furry friends on the patio. Some popular menu items include lemon pancakes, brioche french toast, and smoked salmon benedict. 

The Patio at Lamont

The Patio at Lamont is a classy joint that your canine will likely love. If you are sneaky, you can share some of your charcuterie board with your furry friend. 

Kate Sessions Memorial Park 

For a scenic view, take a stroll with your canine companion at Kate Sessions Memorial Park. 

The Ocean Beach Brewery

If you are 21 or older, enjoy an alcoholic beverage with your pooch by your side at the Ocean Beach Brewery. Locals love the establishment for its relaxed atmosphere and the brews on tap, which include B. Right On, Hop On Board and Long Time Coming.

As a person who loves breakfast and kitsch restaurants, the Breakfast Republic is right up my alley. You can dine on a unique meal like crab and crawfish cake, tres leches pancakes, or a S’More french toast while sitting on an adorable egg-shaped chair.
