If you are a Marvel fan, there’s a good chance you’ll be headed to theaters this Friday to see the highly anticipated movie, “Deadpool & Wolverine.” While we’re looking forward to seeing Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman reprise their respective roles as Wade Wilson aka Deadpool and James "Logan" Howlett aka Wolverine, we’re super excited for a good girl named Peggy’s acting debut. 

For those unaware, the super cute pup will be starring alongside Jackman and Reynolds as the canine superhero, Dogpool.

Peggy Won the Ugliest Dog Contest 

Peggy made her red carpet debut at the “Deadpool” world premiere. While Reynolds held her, he explained that she received the title of “World’s Ugliest Dog'' in Britain in 2023. Reynolds clarified that he does not believe his canine co-star is ugly. 

“She’s a 10 in our hearts,” said the actor.  

Peggy’s owner, Holly Middleton, shared similar comments about her precious pup in a December 2022 interview with “This Morning.” 

“I don’t think she’s ugly. I think she’s gorgeous. Like, her little face. But I know why people would think she’s ugly,” said Middleton. 

Peggy is a mixed-breed dog 

Peggy is part pug and Chinese Crested Dog. During the “The Morning” Interview, Middleton shared that Peggy’s littermates took after their pug side and had hair. 

Peggy was famous before becoming a movie star

Even before she landed the role of Dogpool, Peggy has had adoring fans. In a March 2023 interview with “Inside Edition,” Middleton stated that her furry friend received quite a bit of attention. 

“She’s been on telly a little bit and people want to come up to her, they want to take selfies with her, they want to stroke her. They all know who she is already,” said the dog’s owner. 

Peggy has kissed Ryan Reynolds 

In the “Deadpool & Wolverine” trailer, fans can see Peggy and Wade sharing a smooch. During the “Deadpool” world premiere, Reynold said the furry friend loves to lick. 

Peggy has relatable hobbies 

Besides licking, Peggy has a few other hobbies. In the “This Morning” interview, Peggy’s owner shared that she enjoys “laying on the sofa [and] watching some telly.”
